My Husband Didn’t Take Me on Vacation with His Family – I Found Out Why after Unexpected Help from My Mother-in-Law

My husband and sons haven’t gone on a trip together in years,” she said. “In fact, Tom hasn’t come to the island with us since before he got married. I thought he spent those vacations with you.”

My blood ran cold.

“Wait… you’re saying he hasn’t been with you these past seven years?”

She paused. “No, dear. Is everything okay?”

I hung up, heart pounding, and started digging. Receipts. Credit card statements. Hidden emails. And then I found it — a hotel confirmation under his name… for two adults.

He came home from “vacation” that Sunday, tanned and relaxed.

I was waiting at the door, suitcase packed.

“Where are you going?” he asked.

“To the islands,” I said. “Just not the ones you’ve been going to.”

Then I handed him the printouts.

“Enjoy explaining this to the kids.”
