Hurricane Rafael, an unusual November storm, has strengthened to a Category 2 hurricane with winds reaching 110 mph. This rare storm is moving toward the United States, particularly threatening regions from Texas to the Florida Panhandle. Western Cuba is expected to feel the storm’s impact first, with landfall imminent. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) has issued warnings for areas along the storm’s path, including the Florida Keys,

The storm could bring up to three inches of rain and increase the risk of tornadoes. Flash flooding remains a concern, especially in low-lying areas. Rafael may continue to strengthen as it moves over the Gulf of Mexico. NHC officials urge residents in the affected regions to prepare for significant disruptions and stay updated on the latest advisories.
